Brief
Use diamond from Great Grandmother’s ring
She likes deco but wanted a contemporary flair. Not “too” vintage
She wants “lots of sparkle”
The great grandmother’s diamond had been reset in a setting from the 50’s but the diamond was from about 1900. Being an old miner’s cut it was not symmetrical nor did it have sparkle. The solution was to have it recut into a modern Round Brilliant with today’s standards.

The finished ring definitely achieved the objectives of being Sparkly, Deco inspired and Contemporary at the same time. By recutting the diamond we brought fresh life into a treasured heirloom for another generation of this family.
